How many students DID we fund THIS GIVE BIG TUESDAY?

How did it happen?!?

  • Give Big Tuesday donations totaled $3,341 – funding 7 1/2 students!
  • A Balo Board Member offered to MATCH donations and an additional $3, 235 was donated by the following Tuesday deadline!
  • $3,341 + $3, 235 + $3, 235 (match) = $9,811 – funding 22 students!

In February, I had the beautiful privilege to visit the Balo school in Kolkata.  It was such a joy to see the 462 students with smiles on their faces, learning and engaged in every moment. Check out a few pictures and mini video below!

Books!!!

The books for the new school year have arrived, and everyone is smiling! With a price tag of $20,000 it is a big investment, and students are expected to protect them. This means students must keep them in a locked, safe box when they take them home to keep them from being eaten by rats! The same safe box where they store their uniforms!

What a DEAL! The TWO year book cost/student is ONLY $44.44. WOW!
